Location & Directions
‘Torridon’ is situated in the village of Flashader, near Edinbane to north of the island, approx. 12 miles from the capital town of Portree.
Portree offers a wide range of facilities such as a selection of shops and supermarkets, a hospital and medical centre, a library, restaurants, hotels, leisure facilities and both primary and secondary schooling.
From Inverness one takes the A82, proceeding through Drumnadrochit to Invermoriston. At Invermoriston take the A887 for Kyle of Lochalsh; proceed through some of the most stunning scenery to Kyle and cross the Skye bridge (now toll free). Follow the A87 to Portree and on reaching the High School take a left signposted A855 to Uigg. Follow this road until you reach a left turnoff signposted A850 to Dunvegan; follow this road and you will reach Flashader. The property can be found behind the Arnisort Mission Church, which is painted white. |
